My personal power packed Pumpkin Protein Powerhouse!⠀ ⠀ INGREDIENTS⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ½ cup unsweetened pumpkin⠀⠀ ½ cup Greek yogurt⠀⠀ ¼ cup skim milk⠀⠀ ¼ cup rolled oats⠀⠀ 1 tbsp. steel cut oats⠀⠀ 1 tbsp. ground flax, chia or amaranth seeds⠀⠀ ½ tsp. pumpkin pie spice OR the following spices:⠀⠀ ¼ tsp. cinnamon, ¼ tsp. ginger, 1/8 tsp. ground cloves, 1/8 tsp. allspice or nutmeg⠀⠀ Sweeten to taste with honey, maple syrup, agave nectar or other sweetener of choice.⠀⠀ Add ice cubes, if desired⠀⠀ Optional: Top with Greek yogurt after blending and sprinkle with cinnamon⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ PREPARATION⠀⠀ Put all ingredients in a blender or magic bullet and mix until smooth.⠀⠀ Pour and serve. Skip sugary Halloween candy and make these Almond Joy Bites by @jennafreshandfit instead. We guarantee you won’t regret it. INGREDIENTS: – 1 cup unsweetened dark chocolate chips – 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes – 1/3 cup unrefined coconut oil – 2 T raw honey – 12 almonds, unsalted INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Melt the chocolate over a double boiler until smooth. Spoon one teaspoon of chocolate into the BPA- free silicone candy molds. Place in the freezer for 5 minutes to set. Reserve the bowl with melted chocolate for later. 2. Combine the coconut, raw honey and melted coconut oil into the mixing bowl, and stir well to moisten. Spoon the mixture over the dark chocolate in the candy molds and press to form. 3. Dip the bottom of the almonds into the reserved chocolate, and gently press one on top of each candy bar. Place back into the freezer for 15 minutes to completely set. Pop the bars out of the molds and store in a dry cool spot. #almondjoy #healthyhalloween #healthytreat #halloweentreats

Jack-o'-Lantern Protein Balls are fun, festive and much healthier than most of the sugary candies that abound during Halloween. With peanut butter, pumpkin, cinnamon and Vanilla Shakeology they've got just enough fall flavor to satisfy all of your cravings. Get the recipe below! ⠀ ⠀ Ingredients: ⠀ ¾ cup all-natural smooth peanut butter⠀ ¼ cup pure pumpkin puree⠀ ¼ cup raw honey⠀ ¾ cup dry old-fashioned rolled oats⠀ 3 scoops Vanilla Shakeology⠀ ½ tsp. ground cinnamon⠀ 2 Tbsp. mini chocolate chips⠀ 12 small pretzel sticks, each broken into 2 pieces⠀ ⠀ Instructions:⠀ 1. Combine peanut butter, pumpkin, honey, oats, Shakeology, and cinnamon in a medium bowl; mix well with clean hands or a rubber spatula. ⠀ 2. Arrange chocolate chips in protein balls to resemble jack-o'-lantern faces. Stick a pretzel piece into the top of each protein ball to make a stem.⠀ 3. Place in airtight container; refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.⠀ ⠀ Yields 12 servings (1 ball each). 1 servings = 184 calories.
